Jelly Roll and his wife had a scare when their plane had to make an emergency landing as they were on the way to the CMT Music Awards this weekend.
The country singer and his wife Bunnie XO were travelling to Austin, Texas, when the flight didn’t exactly go as planned. Jelly Roll’s private plane had to make an emergency landing due to technical issues. The celebrity‘s wife recorded the moment the pilot told those on board they needed to turn the plane around. The Need A Favor singer and those on the jet were not injured.

The Save Me hitmaker and his partner did arrive at the awards show safely on Sunday, thankfully.
Podcast host Bunnie documented the celebrity couple‘s ordeal on TikTok and Instagram. She said it was ‘scary’ on her profiles.
On Friday, as Jelly Roll and Bunnie were heading to the CMT Awards, she explained the plane had to make the emergency turnaround.
She captioned the clip on TikTok: “Our plane we were on just stopped mid-air & turned around for an emergency landing”.
She added: “CMT I swear we’re coming”.
In an update, she explained it was due to a ‘malfunction”.
Then she released another video where she asked the music star about the jet.
He says: “The plane just got turned around.
“They said it’s an issue with the computer”.
Bunnie replies: “And they want us to get back on it?” But Jelly laughs: “At least it wasn’t the brakes!”
Then the star told fans: “We’re good baby, but that was scary,” adding “I get eerily calm under chaos”.
Jelly is on a Roll at the CMT Awards
Last year was the singer’s first attendance at the awards show, where we walked away with three statues, including Male Video, Breakthrough Male Video and Digital-First Performance.
For the weekend, he was one of the top nominees in the 2024 edition, also up for three awards.
This was for Video of the Year (Need A Favor), Male Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year – winning all of them.
The powerful singer has now won six gongs in the two years, with Need A Favor reaching number 13 on the Hot 100 chart.
He’s the first artist to win back-to-back awards for Male Video of the Year since Blake Shelton swept both 2013 and 2014 for Sure Be Cool If You Did and Doin’ What She Likes.
